Suggestions

We will discuss and decide the itinerary together, the stops and visits you wish to do, according to your interests and desires, to the season, weather and events. Some places are better seen early in the day, others are more lively on market days. . . All these factors will be considered to provide the best itinerary for you.

I tour all over the area, generally within a radius of 100 km around Avignon, but often further on request.

Walking tours

The main towns like Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Arles and Nîmes are better seen on foot. I usually suggest 2 to 3 hours walking tours that include the main monuments, places of interest, picturesque areas, local markets and shops... Of course, these visits can also be included in one day driving tours along with other destinations.

Outdoor markets, local crafts, shopping are always part of the tours!

Driving tours

- the Luberon area to see the famous hilltop villages that are so typical of Provence

- the Alpilles Hills with olive groves and famous medieval sites

- the wine producing villages: Avignon being the capital of Rhone Valley wines I also often include visits of wineries with wine tasting

- Marseilles and Cassis, opening on to the Mediterranean

- Mont Ventoux and Dentelles de Montmirail aare specular natural areas with beautiful picturesque villages

- The delta of the Rhone is a preserved natural area called Camargue: French cowboys, flamingos, cattle... very different!

I also offer theme tours such as

- Roman Provence Romaine, Glanum

- Following the footsteps of the famous painters inspired by the area: Van Gogh and Cezanne

- Provence Jewish Heritage sites related with the protection of the Jews on papal territories.

- lavender fields: when blooming, in summer, they offer such beautiful sites and scents!

- wine and gastronomy: so evident in this region!

Cooking classes, wine tasting workshops, chocolate and cookies potery, let me know, I will organize it for you. And special request is welcome: I love to research and work on different topics.

I keep track of local events, nice restaurants, artists and craftsmen, and I will happily advise you to help you make the best out of your stay!
